TOCA QLD Lake Wivenhoe & Lake Somerset scenic drive
Queensland’s Roadmap to Easing COVID-19 restrictions is now at Stage 2 and it’s now possible for TOCA QLD Chapter to restart some events, be it with limited attendance.
Please google: Going out, travel, recreation and gathering in Queensland
We're organising a 2nd drive planned for Sunday 28 June.
Both members and non-members are welcome. Maximum registrations limited at 40.
In case the number of registered attendants swells over 20 we’ll make some arrangements to split into max 2 convoys at start, stop and intermediate stops. No meals will be organized for these events so please consider bringing your own food and drink or buying along the way.
Whilst we will be in our cars most of the time, please don't attend if you are feeling unwell, and if around others adhere to social distancing and use hand sanitizer regularly.
For our second drive we will kick off from the Brisbane Planetarium Car Park with plenty of parking space and room for social distancing. Early birds can have a drink or some food at the Botanic Gardens Cafe.
Our first scenic drive stop is at Cormorant Bay Recreational Reserve, lake Wivenhoe, good for a foto session, a stretch of our legs and plenty of room for kids to play.
Then we head to the Esk Bakery & Restaurant, another spot were you can pick up a drink or some food. There is ample parking nearby at the Lars Andersen Place.
Our next stop will be for the BYO picnic at The Split Lake Somerset, good for some more photos, a stroll and an opportunity for socializing and exchange of Tesla experiences.
From there we'll head back to Brisbane via Mt. Glorius and Samford Valley enjoying the scenery.
