This is a bit of a different one with three possible options for participating.
- Just visit the festival and check out the amazing classic cars
- Participate in the "Electric Evolution" event where you can display your EV pride and joy or either or both days. Note the lock in discussed below, however, since once placed, vehicles must remain for the entire day for safety reasons.
- Participate in the Quarter-mile sprints.
Electric Evolution will be on the Eastern Beach Lawn
Electric Evolution Lock in:
The Sprint Track closes at 7:30-8am so all cars must have travelled through to the lawn by then, and must remain there until 5pm when the track reopens.
We recommend travelling in a group so that parking on the lawn is easier and you can keep everybody together. We will likely marshall at the nearby Supercharger and then travel the rest of the way in convoy.
Vehicles are not locked in for both days (ie they can display on Saturday but not Sunday), but once they're in they're in for the whole day.
(select "electric evolution" as the display area when registering for judging)
There is no water provided by GRMF, however there are public water taps in the vicinity so we should be able to do a final touch up of any road dirt gathered on the way down.
Each sprinter will have four runs on the day, and they are timed. The fastest cars will run for a fifth time at the end of the day.
Sprint vehicles park in the pits, no exceptions. We will be grouping sprint EVs together in the pits to create a "mini" Electric Evolution display.
Sprinters receive pits access as part of their entry, Motorshow participants and any other attendees can purchase pit passes online or at the gates
