Vic - Walhalla Lunch Cruise

Thanks to the planning of TOCA member Stephen Nancarrow we have one last cruise for the year!

Be ready to leave the Moe Tesla Superchargers at 10am with a decent charge level. You can fast charge at the supercharger, or you can drop in at the Chargefox on the way into town. From there we will head up to Walhalla (50-60km) for a hearty meal at one of the many cafes or possibly the pub! If we only get a few takers for the trip then we will embrace chance, while if we get a lot of people then we will make more formal arrangements.

After lunch, there are many options. You can stay overnight and enjoy the serenity, you can head back home via Moe and the Princes Highway, or you can take a drive up Mt Baw Baw and then back towards Melbourne via Tanjil Bren and Noojee (another 180-220km depending on where you live).

Getting there

Moe is a town about 1.5 hours (130km) east of Melbourne on the Princes Highway. Total trip will depend on where you live and your preferred route home, but should be under 400km for the whole day.

Charging

There is fast charging at Moe, and a few AC chargers scattered through the route of doubtful providence. Best to ensure that you have plenty of charge at Moe since the roads have significant elevation change.

What to Bring

Your car, your friends and a desire to explore! If you have a UHF radio, please bring it and tune to channel 27. This makes it much easier to announce why we are pulling over and even warn of potholes and other road hazards.
