ACT - Clean Energy Drive - Snowy Hydro and Lunch

The May 2023 TOCA theme is a clean energy drive.  ACT TOCA will embrace this with a drive past two large solar farms in the ACT and with a visit to the Snowy Hydro's Visitor Centre in Cooma, NSW.  Come and see how the Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme was born, marvel at one of the Civil Engineering Wonders of the World, and check out the past, present and future of Snowy Hydro.  We will experience a virtual tour in a state of the art theatre and enjoy learning about the scheme at the centre.  All kids friendly too.

Once done, we will depart for our lunch at the magnificent Snowy Mountains Travellers Rest.  TOCA has made special arrangements with the owner to open up the restaurant for our group.  The more the merrier.

Meeting Time at Greenway:  0930 hours (9.30 AM)

Departure Time from Greenway:  NLT 0945 hrs (09:45 AM).  If you are late, you will need to catch up with us on the road.

Meeting Location:  The carpark next to the skateboard park behind the Lakeside Leisure Centre.  Bartlet Place, Greenway (right at the end).

Lunch

Enjoy a lunch in an informal relaxed atmosphere with fellow TOCA members.  The Snowy Mountains Travellers Rest is an amazing venue nestled in the bush just south of Cooma.  Come and experience a magnificent dining experience.
