TOCA NSW Drive to Norah Head Lighthouse

Join TOCA NSW for a Sunday drive to Norah Head Lighthouse on the Central Coast!

Norah Head is a beautiful spot on the Central Coast, an easy 1hr 30 min drive north of Sydney and an hour south of Newcastle.  This event is a perfect opportunity for TOCA friends from north and south to meet and share the joys and tales of driving their Teslas.

Our drive will take us from the Tesla Superchargers in Tuggerah, for a 40-minute drive across The Entrance Bridge to Norah Head, where we will visit the impressive Norah Head Lighthouse and can join a tour to climb its 96 steps and step back in time to when it was built in 1903.

For lunch, you can choose to enjoy a BYO picnic on the beautiful headland or dine at the local Sports club bistro.

Program for the day:
9.30am: Meet at the Tuggerah Tesla Superchargers, Home Co Centre
10.15am: Depart for Norah Head Lighthouse.
11:00am: Meet at Norah Head Lighthouse carpark 
11.30am: Lighthouse tours (30 minutes)
12.45pm: Lunch time
3.00pm: Depart for home

At 9.30am, we meet at the Tuggerah Tesla Superchargers, located in the Home Co shopping centre carpark, top level, Bryants Rd Tuggerah.

If coming on the M1 Motorway exit the Motorway at Tuggerah exit B74.

To access the Home Co carpark top level, go to the back of the shopping centre, by the delivery docks, turn left and go up ramp to the top carpark and chargers.

Coffee is available at a kiosk in Home Co.

Our departure from Home Co will be at 10.15am when we will drive via Wyong Rd and the Central Coast Hwy (A49), through The Entrance and across The Entrance Bridge to the Lighthouse, meeting in the Norah Head Lighthouse carpark:
 

Lighthouse tour 
Be brave and climb the 96 steps for spectacular 360 degree views from the tower balcony. Sadly, it is not the whale watching season.

If you feel like a walk on the beach, from the lighthouse there are steps down to the beach.

Tour costs: Adults $10, children $5, family $28
Booking is needed if more than 10 people.

Lunch
There are no cafes at the lighthouse. Lunch options are:

• BYO picnic lunch at the lighthouse or 

• Norah Head Sporties Club, a 10-minute drive away. 

The Sporties Club menu is on their website. https://norahheadsports.com 
The bistro is only open till 2 pm, so we need to arrive at the club by 1 pm.

This is a family friendly event.  Dogs are allowed, but must be on lead.
