SA Drag Race "Ultimate Club Day" | The Bend Motorsport Park

This is going to be a great day out! We will have the chance to meet and greet with other SA car clubs!

Here is how it works:

1.       Rolling start with take of speed measured between guard beam and the 60 foot beam. Your speed between these points can’t be faster than 50 KPH. If you travel faster than 50 KPH through that trap your run will be disqualified( Like red lighting in a drag race)
2.       Once past the 60 ft beam you go flat to the floor and run as fast as you can though the finish line.
3.       The winner is determined by the fastest speed. You will receive a time slip that gives you all the speeds your vehicle travelled from start to 330ft, 660ft, 1000ft and 1320ft

Cost: $100+ booking fee per vehicle includes Day license, Personal accident insurance. Passengers can ride in the vehicle for $30 each. Spectating: No cost to just come and watch

Vehicle/driver requirements: Open to all road registered cars, pass basic vehicle safety check on the day. Driver will require an in date helmet (can be hired at a small cost from the bend), long sleeves, long pants, enclosed shoes. Passenger will require the same.

Lunch: Sausage sizzle will be provided as part of the day

On the day

Time: Gates open 9am (be mindful that we will probably all need a supercharge at Tailem Bend, so arrive early)

Vehicle safety check and sign in: 9am – 11am

Session 1 speed challenge: 11am – 1pm

Lunch: 1pm – 2pm

Session 2: 2pm – 4pm( includes elimination runs to find the ultimate winner)

Prizes: Fastest speed of the day at 660ft and 1320ft. Overall winner of the elimination challenge

Spectating: No cost to just come and watch
