ACT TOCA - World EV Day - A Joint TOCA / AEVA Event

World EV Day is on 8 September 2024 and AEVA have invited ACT TOCA along to promote awareness of EVs and educate the public on the benefits of ownership.  This will be a joint effort.

• Gates open at 9:30, event start at 10AM

• Activities include - speeches, tours of EV training areas, and vehicles on static display.

• Coffee/food vendor

• Speeches at 11AM

• Finish at 11:30, gates close at noon

• Convoy/parade at end of event - around Parliament House and away. Using tea-towel as a flag to signify EV.

Venue: CIT Fyshwick.

Registration

Please register your attendance in two places. Once with the organiser (AEVA) and once with TOCA so we know who from TOCA is attending (for stats).

Please also register for stats only via this events page. The ticketing module on this event has been activated only so we can add an additional product regarding those wishing to join us for lunch afterwards. There is no cost for the ticket.

Merchandise

On registering with AEVA, you can attend free or purchase a tea towel for $7.50 plus CC fees. The tea towel / banner can be attached to your car for our drive around Parliament House.

Lunch

For TOCA members who are interested in a lunch or a coffee at the National Art Gallery afterwards, please select the appropriate box on the TOCA event registration.

Display Cars

We are also looking for people to display their Teslas at the event, particularly if you have a new Model 3 2024 (Highland), Model Y 2024 and a Model X.  We already have a Model S for show.

If you have a great wrap job (particularly a psychedelic coloured wrap - I heard someone saw a rainbow one in Civic a few days ago) or something unusual you have done to your Tesla that makes it stand out, please let me know as we would like to showcase what owners have done to make their Teslas even more awesome.  Please email us at act@teslaowners.org.au if you can assist with your vehicle as a display car (closed and locked with hands off signage, suitably positioned next to our marque so you can stay with your vehicle.
