TOCA All Day visit to General Motors-Holden Testing grounds at Lang Lang

TOCA Victoria invites members to register for this all-day event, visiting the 887 hectare Lang Lang testing grounds, formerly home to testing scores of GM-H models over decades, since the 1950s. Holden test cars travelled 111 Million test kilometres, with 454 cars making it a one way trip, being used to travel 100 metres into a one way crash barrier!

We will be able to visit and explore the circular, banked high-speed track (which received a $1.2 million facelift in 1992), a network of ride and handling roads, rough tracks, a twist course, a "rattle and squeak" track, dust road, test hills, a skid pad as well as mud and water baths. Tesla Performance models which can go into track mode will especially enjoy the skid pad!

The day will be limited to a maximum of 30 cars on a first come- first served basis, and will require a deposit in early 2025 to assure your spot.

We estimate the cost for the day will be between $250-$350 including lunch and snacks. The variation is because the fewer the registrations, the higher the cost per car (the whole day is a fixed cost to TOCA no matter how many cars or members), but the fewer cars, the more time each car can spend on the various areas of the testing grounds. It's a balancing act. If we exceed maximum registrations, we will establish a waiting list, again on a first come-first served basis.
