Description
Step back in time nearly 2,000 years and view the terror experienced by the Pompeii people. Experience the rumble and shakes of Mt Vesuvius as it unleashes its fury upon the unknowing inhabitants of the ancient city of Pompeii. Learn about the secrets uncovered by archaeologists and the amazingly preserved body casts of the victims.
Mt Vesuvius didn't just take out Pompeii. This famous eruption also destroyed other nearby cities such as Herculaneum, Oplontis, Stabiae and other settlements. It was a catastrophic eruption that affected many ancient cities
From the frightening pyroclastic flows to the time capsules of volcanic ash, the Pompeii Exhibition is a learning journey for us all. We can guarantee you won't need to swerve around the lava flows coming to this event (or will you!!). Afterwards, join us for a boiling hot lava coffee in the (not so) ancient coffee area of the NMA cafe.
