Join us as we chase the sun through some of Victoria’s most beautiful sealed backroads! All on the shortest day of the year or near enough (9 hours 31 minutes)

Leg 1: We’ll start with a cozy breakfast at High Horse Café in Officer before quickly winding our way through farmland and gentle hills before a fast, brief run on the Princes Highway, then passing through Nar Nar Goon, Bunyip, Garfield and Longwarry.

From there, we’ll cross the M1, then head through rolling green hills passing through Jindivick on Jackson's Track before pausing in Neerim South for a coffee break and brief stroll around town.

Leg 2: Then it’s onward to the Yallourn Power Station, then (Leg 3) onto Traralgon Supercharger for a quick top-up for those in need before (leg 4) tackling the winding forest climb to Balook in the Tarra-Bulga National Park.

We’ll stretch our legs again at the Tarra-Bulga Visitors Centre (the Corrigan Suspension bridge is no longer quickly accessible due to walking track issues. It's still there if you want to visit after lunch, but it's a challenging 1.2km walk to reach it!)

Our final leg 5 will see us descending through the lush Tarra Valley, arriving in Yarram with its famous water tower (and great eateries) around 1:00-130 PM for a hearty lunch at the Commercial Hotel (dog friendly) and great company.

This route is subject to change due to weather and road conditions, and the final route with turn-by-turn directions and times and distances will be sent to all registrants in the next few days. It will be in Apple Numbers format (to import into an iPhone or iPad), as well as PDF and MS Excel to import into Android phones or tablets. If travelling solo, please print out the directions and leave on your passenger seat.

If narrow, windy roads are not to your liking, plan to use your Tesla Navigation to drive directly (omitting Legs 4 and 5) from Traralgon RSL to the Grant Street parking area in Yarram (Evie Charger equipped) for lunch at the Commercial Hotel on Commercial Road, Yarram.

The cruise is family and dog friendly (although some areas managed by Parks Victoria may mean using Dog Mode briefly.) All breaks have restrooms within walking distance (except for Yallourn Power Station).

So register for this really scenic cruise which will also test out your one peddle driving mainly on less used roads, with lots of high speed chargers for your travel home. Distance for the day from cruise start to finish is 200-250km and one charging session on the way home is expected, eg., Yarram to Moe or Traralgon.
