UPDATE #3 - Independence (From Fuel) Day – July 4 Winter Cruise: Gippsland and the Bunurong Coast

TOCA Victoria invites members to register for this delayed Winter Solstice (Hey, TOCA members are used to software delays so this delay is easy-peasy!) short cruise through the glorious scenery of South Gippsland and the Bunurong coastline.
This will be a family and dog-friendly cruise that will also appeal to foodies, as we sample some of the most varied and scenic routes Victoria has to offer, starting with a very special breakfast venue, Nancy's Eatery at the Robert Gordon Pottery Outlet Centre in Pakenham. https://www.nancyeatery.com.au

Tesla's high speed superchargers are nearby (visited on a previous cruise) and it's suggested those who've travelled a fair distance to get to Pakenham visit the chargers between 7:45am and 8:15am to top up, then arrive at Nancy for breakfast and a store visit by 830am. We'll have our briefing at 930am before a highway high speed and then a winding run to the Loch Suspension Bridge and township, for our second visit to this very special rural spot.

From Loch, we make our way south on the Loch-Wonthaggi Road, along some spectacular backroads to Wonthaggi and then some coastal driving near Cape Patterson and onto Inverloch. We'll have a stop here for you to sample some of Paul the Pieman's award-winning pies, as well as sweets from all around the world at Treat Time, both on A'Beckett Street. https://www.treattime.com.au/collections/all

We then head eastwards through small townships like Tarwin and Fish Creek to Foster, where we'll lunch at the Gurneys Cider, dog and vegan friendly (https://www.gurneyscider.com.au) with spectacular views and delicious food (mainly pizza) and drink (including non-alcoholic ciders).

Tours of the Cidery are available ($) at 2pm, for members who wish to avail themselves of this small group experience, by registering at the website address above.
Please register early for this cruise so we can give numbers to our breakfast and lunch hosts. More details of the cruise and its waypoints will arrive on Member Jungle updates in the next few weeks. This promises to be another TOCA opportunity for a great South Gippsland in winter cruise: quiet roads, green hills, mist, regenerative driving, cafés, photography stops and great food and drink sampling menus.
Please note: Most legs on this cruise will exceed 40 minutes so we'll make use of a live WhatsApp communications tool to keep the group together as much as possible, with occasional regathering pauses at safe locations, hopefully kept to a minimum.
The TOCA Victoria committee looks forward to meeting you all, and you are especially welcome to invite new Tesla owners to join TOCA and come along to experience this fun and enjoyable cruise.
