New Tasmanian Committee

Good afternoon everyone,

As we head into Christmas, I’d like to introduce myself and our two new committee members: Michael Horwood and Nigel Williams.

I also wanted to share some of the event ideas we have planned for the new year.

• Cars and Coffee at the Showroom: Mark (Tesla Hobart) has suggested regular Cars and Coffee days at the showroom. I’ll catch up with him over the Christmas break to confirm whether he still plans to go ahead with this.
   
• Regular Drive and Lunch Days: This past year we had several drive and lunch days around the state that everyone enjoyed, so we’ll be scheduling these as regular calendar events. This will give members plenty of notice to prepare. We’re also open to recommendations for locations you’d like to visit.
   
• Light Shows: The worldwide light show has been very popular. This year’s event was organised a little late, so we’ll be ready earlier next year. I’m hoping to host events in Launceston, Hobart, and Devonport. I’m also looking for suggestions on other dates for light shows. The dates I have in mind are 4 May (for the Star Wars fans among us) and a Christmas light show for the club outside of the worldwide one.
   
• Bootcamps:  As part of the club’s benefits, we run bootcamps for new and existing owners. To my knowledge, we haven’t held any in Tasmania yet, so we’ll be organising some in the near future. I’ll be looking for a suitable venue, preferably in the Hobart area. I’ll update all members once I have more details on locations and dates for anyone interested in attending.
