TOCA (Vic) Animus Distillery TOCA Visit
20th June 2021
By Dr Mark Sandford
Seven lucky participants from rural Victoria including Ballarat, Geelong, Buninyong, Blackwood and Kyneton were able to still attend this successful intimate event in Kyneton at Animus Gin Distillery on Sunday afternoon 6 June.
The other 25 city-slickers were locked down in Melbourne but were happy for their booking to be carried over to the postponed event once COVID restrictions ease.Hopefully to be on a Sunday in July.
After a gourmet lunch at Fook Shing Asian Fusion restaurant opposite in Piper St these very lucky rural non locked-down Victorian TOCA members were hosted by Animus Distillery in Kyneton for 2 hours on this lovely Sunday afternoon of June 6. All the keen well infused attendees are shown in the group photo above.
Luke Jacques the head distiller at Animus educated these fortunate attendees on the joys of gin distilling and tasting which was accompanied by a welcoming G & T, charcuterie plates and the special flight tasting. Luke is pictured next.
Some members left as non-drivers vowing to attend the postponed event next time as well with all of us locked down in Melbourne as we would need an Artisan Animus Gin with which to celebrate. They felt that the wonderful experience of re-testing their taste buds would be even more appreciated the second time around!”
Kind regards,
Mark
