On Sunday 15th October, 30 Qld members headed to the Noosa Everglades about 30kms north of Noosa. We had members travel up from the Gold Coast and even 1 who travelled down from MacKay.
There are only two Everglades on the planet. This stretch of pristine water is also known as the “River of Mirrors” as the reflections provide amazing photo opportunities, along with landscapes untouched for thousands of years. So amazing that we have one here in Australia.
We enjoyed lunch at Habitat Noosa which is set amongst 65 acres within the Great Sandy National Park there are several walking tracks to suit all fitness levels. Perched on the edge of Lake Cootharaba, with over 500 metres of beachfront you can swim or relax by the shore. Some members enjoyed the afternoon cruise exploring the everglade while others when stand up paddle boarding.
